Pricing & Trial

What's included in the 90-day free trial?
Full access to all Core features: unlimited tasks, team collaboration, period management, file attachments, activity logs, and email notifications. No credit card required.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. We don't require a credit card to begin your 90-day free trial. After the trial ends, you can choose to add a payment method to continue.
What happens when the trial ends?
When your 90-day trial ends, your organization enters read-only mode. You can view all your data and period history, but can't create tasks or make changes until you add a payment method. All your data remains intact.
How does per-user billing work?
You pay $10 per named user per month. A "named user" is someone with an active account in your organization. You can add or remove team members anytime, and billing is prorated daily. There are no setup fees or long-term contracts.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again. Your data remains accessible in read-only mode after cancellation.

Getting Started

How long does setup take?
Most organizations are set up in under an hour. If you're using our close template, which includes pre-configured task types, workflows, and dependencies for a typical close, it's even faster. You can also start from scratch and build a custom close.
Can I import my existing close checklist?
Yes. We support CSV import with column mapping. You can prepare your checklist in a spreadsheet and map it to ComplyBar task fields like title, due date, assignee, and dependencies. Our import wizard guides you through the process.
Does ComplyBar integrate with Microsoft Teams?
Yes. ComplyBar includes a Microsoft Teams tab that embeds the full ComplyBar application inside any Teams channel. Team members with a Microsoft 365 work account are signed in automatically via Microsoft SSO — no separate password required. To set it up, an Owner or Admin downloads the app manifest from Company Settings → MS Teams and uploads it to the Teams admin center or sideloads it to a specific channel. See the Teams installation guide for step-by-step instructions.
Do my team members need separate ComplyBar logins once the Teams tab is set up?
No. When a team member opens the ComplyBar tab in Teams, ComplyBar detects their M365 work account and signs them in automatically. There is no separate password and no manual sign-in step. The one requirement is that their work email must already match an existing ComplyBar account — the tab does not allow self-registration.
Do I need to add my team to ComplyBar before setting up the Teams tab?
Yes — set up your team first, then deploy the tab. When someone opens the tab, ComplyBar checks whether their work email matches an existing account. If it does not, they see a sign-in screen with no way to proceed. We recommend adding all team members in Company Settings → Team Members (CSV bulk import works well here), configuring your close period, then uploading the manifest to Teams. By default the bulk import does not send invitation emails, so you control when your team is notified.
Can I invite my whole team during the trial?
Yes. There's no limit on the number of team members you can invite during the trial. Once you convert to a paid plan, billing is based on the number of active named users you maintain.

Features

What types of tasks can I manage?
Any close task: reconciliations, journal entries, variance investigations, reporting tasks, analysis work, sign-offs, and approvals. You can create custom task types and workflows specific to your close. Many customers start with the standard close template and adapt it to their process.
How do task due dates work?
Each task can have a fixed calendar date or a due date that ComplyBar calculates automatically from your close period — a number of business days from period start, period end, close start, or close end; a day of the month; a number of days after a milestone; or a number of days after a predecessor task is completed. Calculated due dates recompute automatically when your period dates, holiday calendar, milestones, or dependencies change, so you set the rule once and it stays correct every month. See the due dates help article for the full walkthrough.
How does the preparer → reviewer → approver workflow work?
Tasks move through three stages: Assigned (preparer is working), In Review (submitted for review, timestamp recorded), and Approved (approved, final timestamp recorded). Each transition is logged in the task history with the actor and timestamp. You can customize status names to match your process.
What happens when I lock a period?
Locking a period freezes the close and prevents further edits. The lock timestamp is recorded in the audit trail. Period data becomes read-only for non-admins. You can unlock a period if needed, but all unlock events are audited.
Can I attach files to tasks?
Yes. You can attach files (supporting documents, workpapers, evidence) to any task. Attachments are scanned for malware and linked to the task history. Files are accessible in the audit trail and help document the close process.
