What's the difference between a named user and a viewer seat?

A named user is anyone who actively works in ComplyBar — creating tasks, updating statuses, uploading attachments, reviewing work, or managing the close. Named users have roles like Account Owner, Admin, Manager, or Member, each with different permissions for what they can do. Named user seats cost $10/month.

A viewer has read-only access. Viewers can see the dashboard, browse task details, and view attachments, but they can't edit anything, change task statuses, or take actions. This is ideal for CFOs, controllers, or external auditors who need visibility without needing to touch the workflow. Viewer seats cost $1/month.

You can change someone's role at any time from the team settings page. Upgrading a viewer to a named user (or downgrading) takes effect on your next billing cycle.
