How do I lock a period once the close is done?

An Owner or Admin can lock a period at any time from the period management page — locking is a permission check, not a completeness check. Locking freezes the entire checklist: no further status changes, edits, or new tasks can be made to that period.

There's no requirement that every task be Approved before locking. If tasks are still in Not Started, In Progress, Ready for Review, or Blocked, the lock button still works, and the period locks with that work incomplete. It's up to the Owner or Admin to confirm the close is actually done before locking — ComplyBar doesn't block the action for you.

Once a period is locked, it becomes available for evidence export. If a period gets locked before it should have, an Owner or Admin can reopen it (see below) to keep working, then lock it again when it's really ready.
