Can I create recurring task templates so I don't rebuild the checklist every month?
Yes. Once you've built out a close checklist for one period, you can use it as a template for future periods. When creating a new close period, you have the option to copy tasks from a previous period, which brings over the task titles, descriptions, assignments, dependencies, and categories.
This means you don't have to rebuild your checklist from scratch each month. Set up your tasks once, refine them over a close cycle or two, and then carry that structure forward. You can always add, remove, or modify individual tasks in the new period without affecting the original.
For teams with a consistent monthly close process (which is most accounting teams), this is the fastest way to get each new period set up — create the period, copy from the last one, adjust any dates or assignments, and you're ready to go.
