How do notifications work — will my team get emails for task assignments?

Yes. ComplyBar sends email notifications for key events — task assignments, status changes, approaching due dates, and review requests. Emails are sent through Resend and are transactional (they go out for specific workflow events, not on a schedule).

In addition to email, there's an in-app notification center where team members can see all their notifications in one place. This covers the same events as email — assignments, status changes, review requests — so if someone prefers to check notifications in the app rather than their inbox, they can do that.

Notification preferences can be configured so team members control which events trigger an email versus just appearing in-app. The goal is to keep your team informed without flooding their inbox — notifications are tied to meaningful workflow events, not every minor edit.
