Can the AI automatically complete or approve tasks on my behalf?

No. This is a deliberate design decision. AI in ComplyBar generates drafts for human review — it does not change task statuses, approve tasks, sign off on reconciliations, mark work as complete, or take any action on its own. There is no API path for autonomous AI actions, and we don't plan to introduce one.

The reason is straightforward: month-end close is an accounting control process. The integrity of the close depends on humans reviewing and approving work. An AI that could autonomously complete tasks would undermine the control environment that your auditors rely on.

What AI Insights does is save time on the narrative and documentation side — generating draft variance explanations, flux analysis commentary, and reconciliation summaries that your team can review, edit, and approve. The human is always the final authority. Every AI-generated draft must be explicitly approved before it becomes part of the close record.
